It is behind this simple mantra that Remain and Chris Gavin came together to create Danse Alice. Both almost-veterans always criss-crossing, with parallel paths until Remain left Paris for Marseille, firmly sealing his collaboration and his involvement in his second home-base of La dame Noir; and at the same time to follow his one true love : Pizza. (As Marseille is also the France's official pizza capital.)

Chris Gavin, a long -time presence in which the 90s forged an uncompromising character oscillating between saturated guitars and epic metronomic drops, created the Danceteria club on the Old Port, and took advantage of it to mature an uncompromising approach to the fusion of its multiple influences between Marseille and Corsica.

Since the founding moment of their meeting, Remain has put aside his own productions and his label Meant Records, Chris Gavin has done the same after releases and appearances on many labels such as Renaissance or Brique Rouge and multiple collaborations and compilations including a highlight for Carl Cox.

Exchanging few words, they lock themselves in the studio, and the music flows freely. The first bottles were thrown to sea and the wait for results in return were not long in coming back on various compilation and EP releases.
