Passé Composer : Luke Fowler
AMOR / E Bias
Glasgow native Luke Fowler has had his hand in many projects over the years.

From E. Bias project - inspired from the heyday of Chicago house and Italo disco, E. Bias featured vocalist/keyboardist Richard Youngs alongside Franz Ferdinand drummer Paul Thomson. The group collaborated on a set of songs telling the story of Emmanuel Maggi, a Italian factory worker who masqueraded as an electronic musician in the '80s and in the age of the internet sent his unreleased songs for Youngs to cover. E. Bias' Emmanuel Bias EP arrived in early 2017 on Kick + Clap, the label of Django Django's Dave Maclean. After the E. Bias sessions ended, Youngs, Fowler, and Thomson recruited avant-double bassist Michael Francis Duch to work on a new spectral-disco project that became AMOR.

Glasgow's AMOR, a quartet of musical travelers explore the sonic open-ended-ness of dance music. With two critically acclaimed 12" Single releases and their debut LP "sinking into a miracle" their music is a fully developed treatise on ecstasy and transcendence. Fowler's gliding analogue synth lines underline the more devotional potential of AMOR's music.

Apart from his role as musician Luke Fowler is active as a filmmaker / sound artist and has had many exhibitions of his work in museums and galleries worldwide.
